About Us

No Fracked Gas in Mass was founded by Rosemary Wessel and Katy Eiseman (who now heads MassPLAN & PLAN-NE ). A resident of Cummington, Mass who heard about the pipeline from an online blog post, Rose decided to take action by partnering with Bruce and Jane Winn of Berkshire Environmental Action Team (BEAT) in presenting  information on the scope of the gas transmission pipeline project on how to take action to stop it. No Fracked Gas in Mass is now an official program of BEAT.

Concerned with environmental impacts of the pipeline, Bruce and Jane Winn began studying the potential effects it may have, only to find there were serious flaws in the arguments for need for the pipeline.
After a long and productive partnership in research and presenting on pipeline issues, No Fracked Gas in Mass has become an official program of B.E.A.T.
